Image Nature blog have just announced that one of the biggest “drug-outlets” in the US – Walgreens, is planning to start selling Pathway Genomics’s saliva collection kits in their stores around the states (except the state of New York). The kit will cost just 30$, but what you get will be just a small spit tube, instructions and a pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope. In order to get your personal genome screened for inherited diseases and response to specific drug, you have to pay additional $79 to $249.
